In order to promote the concept of food security in sustainable development and highlight the role of agrometeorological services in Libya, the National Meteorological Centre ( NMC ) participated in the Agricultural Exhibition, held in conjunction with the First Scientific Conference on Digital Agriculture in the Faculty of Agriculture, University of Tripoli, Libya, from 5 – 7 / 3 / 2023.

Among the NMC’s exhibits were the posters of WMO WMD for 2017 – 2022. The Decadal Agrometeorological Bulletin for the Period, 3 February 2023 was also displayed, together with the 2022 Seasonal and Annual Agrometeorological Bulletins.

Posters on weather phenomena such as frost, mist, fog and hail that cause damage to plants were also displayed during the exhibition. A video o  n the importance of agrometeorological services and products was also shown. Also featured was an illustration on the evapotranspiration of plants for young visitors supported with experiment in addition to presenting a model of AWS.
