The Third Session of the African Ministerial Conference on Meteorology (AMCOMET), organized by the the African Union Commission (AUC), the World Meteorological Organization (WMO) and the Government of Cape Verde, will comprise two segments: an expert segment from 10-12 February 2015; and a ministerial segment from 13-14 February 2015. The conference will seek to, inter alia: review and endorse the Draft Implementation Plan of the Integrated African Strategy on Meteorology; consider and adopt the AMCOMET Constitution and Rules of Procedures; and review progress made in the establishment of a Regional Climate Centre in Central Africa and the feasibility of developing an African Regional Space Programme.   Full Article
